Port Expansion from 3 to 5 Commissioners - How it works

This week, Kevin is on vacation while Dan and Susan sit down to talk about the upcoming expansion for the Port of Bellingham, from 3 commissioners to 5.

Dan walks through the process of how it works, along with timelines for key points of the process.

*Update 2026 - The process outlined for choosing a commissioner for districts 1 and 2 as they split district 1, has changed.  Instead of commissioners staying with their assigned district number, the commissioners that both reside in new district 1 will be determined by coin toss.
