Lummi Protector with Tah-Mahs

Ellie Kinley

This week, Kevin & Dan sit down with Tah-Mahs Ellie Kinley of Lummi Nation to talk about the coming statue, 'The Protector', which will be a beacon in the region for native Lummi fishermen and all those sailing through the area to recognize the ancestral home of the Lummi people, and remind us all of the connection to sea and to place that we share here in Whatcom and the northern sound.

Listen in as Ellie talks about the statue, the meaning, and how Lummi is reintroducing the idea of 'home' to youth.
