The Youth Camp Coordinator is responsible for training, managing and motivating our team of instructors and volunteers. They will work to develop and teach on-water programs, youth sailing classes, clinics, private lessons, regattas, and sailing experiences. They will ensure that our instructing team accomplishes the skill development and course goals of their assigned program. They will work closely with the Operations Director to ensure that all equipment is in safe working order and supporting program goals.
The Community Boating Center serves around 600 participants each year in our youth programs. May through mid-June we have after-school programs focused on sailing and paddlesports. Mid-June through August we run week-long day camps for a variety of age ranges and watersport options. We offer fall after-school programs through September. The Youth Program assistant will work with instructing staff to manage safety and complete program goals in our summer camps and after-school programs. This program will rotate from an administrative position, to a camp leader throughout the summer, and will work closely with the Operations Director. This position reports to the Community Program Manager.
